十六年，命偕侍衛費耀色、塞護禮、索鼐瞻禮長白山，諭曰：「長白山祖宗發祥之地，爾等赴吉林，選識路之人，瞻視行禮，並巡視寧古塔諸處，於大暑前馳驛速往。」 In Kangxi 16 he was sent with the bodyguards Fei Yaose, Sai Huli, and Suonai to worship at Mount Changbai. The emperor instructed them: "Mount Changbai is where our ancestors first rose. Go to Jilin, find guides who know the way, perform the observance and rites, and inspect Ningguta and the surrounding region. Ride post-horses and hurry there before the height of summer."
