癸巳，中書上言：「大行皇太后諡議合讀於太廟太祖室，其日，集兩省御史台五品巳上、尚書省四品已上、諸司三品已上官，於太廟序立。」 On guisi the Secretariat memorialized that the late Empress Dowager's posthumous evaluation should be read in Taizu's chamber of the Imperial Temple, and that day officials of the fifth rank and above from the two departments and the Censorate, the fourth rank and above from the Department of State Affairs, and the third rank and above from the various offices should line up in order at the Imperial Temple.

先皇帝早在並門，將興霸業，彼既會馳書幣，此亦復展謝儀。 At Bing Gate the former emperor was building power; Shu sent letters and gifts, and we answered in kind.

朕頃遵遺訓，嗣統列藩，追昔日之來誠，繼先皇之舊好，累馳信幣，皆絕酬還，背惠食言，棄同即異。 I followed the testament, kept old ties, and sent gift after gift, yet Shu answered none—breaking faith and casting off shared bonds.
