父騫，字思寂，本名玄成，與齊高帝偏諱同，故改焉。 Her father Qian, styled Siji, was originally named Xuancheng; because the name clashed with Qi Gaozu's partial taboo, he changed it.

高祖霸府建，引爲大司馬諮議參軍，俄遷侍中，領越騎校尉。 When Gaozu set up his hegemony office, Qian was called in as Grand Marshal adviser, soon made Palace Attendant and Colonel of the Yue Cavalry.

騫襲爵，遷度支尚書。 Qian inherited the title and was made Minister of Revenue.

時高祖於鐘山造大愛敬寺，騫舊墅在寺側，有良田八十餘頃，卽晉丞相王導賜田也。 Gaozu was building the Great Temple of Filial Reverence on Zhong Mountain; Qian's old villa lay beside it, with more than eighty qing of fine fields—the very grant of Jin chancellor Wang Dao.

騫答旨云：「此田不賣； Qian answered: "This land is not for sale;

詔贈侍中、金紫光祿大夫，諡曰安。 By edict he was posthumously made Palace Attendant and Glory Grand Master with purple insignia, posthumous name An.
