是時，秦王方討王世充，遣使招懷，伏威乃獻款。 At that time the Prince of Qin was campaigning against Wang Shichong and sent envoys to win him over. Fuwei thereupon pledged his allegiance.

伏威遣其將陳正通、徐紹宗以兵會，取世充之梁郡。 Fuwei sent his generals Chen Zhengtong and Xu Shaozong with troops to join the campaign and captured Liang Prefecture from Wang Shichong.

別下軒轅、羅川二縣，破世充將魏隱，擊糧道緱氏，沈米艘三十柁。 He separately reduced Xuanyuan and Luochuan counties, defeated Wang Shichong's general Wei Yin, struck the grain route at Goushi, and sank thirty supply barges.
