王松，父徽，為唐僖宗宰相。 Wang Song's father Hui had been a chief minister under Emperor Xizong of Tang.

松舉進士，後唐時，歷刑部郎中，唐末，從事方鎮。 Song passed the jinshi examination; under Later Tang he served as bureau director in the Ministry of Justice, and at the end of Tang worked for a regional command.

晉高祖鎮太原，辟松節度判官。 When Shi Jingtang governed Taiyuan he recruited Song as military administrator of the command.

晉高祖即位，拜右諫議大夫，累拜工部尚書。 When Shi Jingtang took the throne he appointed Song right remonstrance grand master and eventually minister of works.

出帝北遷，蕭翰立許王從益於京師，以松為左丞相。 When the Deposed Emperor was taken north, Xiao Han installed Prince Xu Congyi at the capital and appointed Song left chancellor.

松以手指其胸，引郭子儀自誚，以語人曰：「此乃二十四考中書令也。」 Song pointed at his chest, alluding to Guo Ziyi in self-mockery, and told others, "Here is a chief minister with twenty-four annual reviews to his credit."

後松子仁寶為李守貞河中支使，守貞反，松以子故上書自陳，高祖憐之，但使解職而已。 Later Song's son Renbao served as branch commissioner under Li Shouzhen at Hezhong; when Shouzhen rebelled, Song memorialized in his own defense because of his son; Gaozu took pity on him and merely had him relieved of office.

松有田城東，歲時往來京師，以疾卒。 Song owned farmland east of the city and traveled to and from the capital each year; he died of illness.
