贼复来攻，命王惟恭列阵当之，锋始交，出小舰从旁横击，大破走之，进据清水湾。 When the bandits attacked again, he ordered Wang Weigong to form battle lines; as the vanguards engaged, he sent small boats to strike from the flank, routing the enemy and advancing to occupy Qingshuiwan.

命王惟恭栅小孤山，而星吉自据番阳口，缀江湖要冲以图恢复。 He ordered Wang Weigong to fortify Xiaogushan while he himself held Panyangkou, controlling the vital river junctions to plan the recovery of the region.
