〈（《通鑒》云：全忠遣大將王虔裕將精甲數百，間道入邢州共守。）〉 (The Zizhi Tongjian records that Quanzhong dispatched his general Wang Yuyu with several hundred elite troops by a secret path into Xingzhou to help hold the city.)〉

大順元年，遷執王虔裕等乞降，武皇令安金俊代之。 In 890 Qian seized Wang Yuyu and his men and offered surrender; the Martial Emperor sent An Jinjun to take over.

全忠方攻時溥，不即至，命王虔裕以精甲數百赴之，假道羅宏信，不許，乃趨間入邢州。 Quanzhong was besieging Shi Pu and could not come immediately; he sent Wang Yuyu with several hundred elite troops by a secret path after Luo Hongxin refused passage, and they slipped into Xingzhou.

大順元年，存孝復攻邢，遷挈邢、洺、磁三州降，執王虔裕三百人獻之； In 890 Cunxiao attacked Xingzhou again; Qian surrendered the three prefectures of Xing, Ming, and Ci and handed over Wang Yuyu and three hundred of his men;

王虔裕，瑯琊臨沂人也。 Wang Qianyu came from Linyi in Langya.

中和三年，孫儒陷河陽，虔裕隨爽奔於梁。 In the third year of Zhonghe Sun Ru took Heyang; Qianyu followed Shuang in flight to Liang.

是時，太祖新就鎮，黃巢、秦宗權等兵方盛，太祖數為所窘，而梁未有佗將，乃以虔裕將騎兵，常為先鋒擊巢陳、蔡間，拔其數柵。 Taizu had just taken command. Huang Chao, Qin Zongquan, and others were still strong; Taizu was often hard pressed and Liang had no other generals—so Qianyu was put in charge of cavalry, regularly leading the van against Chao between Chen and Cai and taking several palisades.

巢走，梁兵躡之，戰於萬勝戍，賊敗而東，虔裕功為多，乃表虔裕義州刺史。 Chao fled; Liang pursued. At Wansheng post the bandits were routed eastward; Qianyu won the greatest merit, and Taizu memorialized to make him prefect of Yi.

黃巢已去，秦宗權攻許、鄭，與梁為敵境，大小百餘戰，虔裕常有功。 After Huang Chao was gone Qin Zongquan attacked Xu and Zheng. On the Liang border more than a hundred battles large and small were fought; Qianyu regularly distinguished himself.

秦賢攻汴南境，太祖遣虔裕拒賢於尉氏，戰敗，失一裨將，太祖怒，拘虔裕於軍中。 Qin Xian struck Bian’s southern border. Taizu sent Qianyu to hold him at Weishi; they were beaten and lost a junior commander. Taizu raged and kept Qianyu under detention in the army.

邢州孟遷降梁，為晉人所圍，太祖遣虔裕以精兵百人疾馳，夜破晉圍，入邢州，遲明，立梁旗幟於城上，晉人以為救兵至，乃退。 Meng Qian of Xing prefecture surrendered to Liang and was besieged by Jin. Taizu sent Qianyu with a hundred elite troops at forced march. By night they broke the Jin ring and entered Xing; at dawn they raised Liang banners on the walls. Jin thought relief had come and withdrew.

已而晉兵復來，遷執虔裕降於晉，見殺。 Before long the Jin returned; Meng Qian seized Qianyu and handed him over—they killed him.
