其後流傳於秦、晉間，至明中葉，王宗岳為最著，溫州、陳州同受之，遂流傳於溫州。 The art later spread through the Qin and Jin regions. By the mid-Ming, Wang Zongyue was its most celebrated master; Wenzhou and Chenzhou both inherited the tradition, and from there it passed into Wenzhou.

清中葉，河北有太極拳，云其法出於山西王宗岳，其法式論解，與百家之言相出入。 In the mid-Qing, taiji boxing appeared in Hebei, said to descend from Wang Zongyue of Shanxi. Its formal theory and commentary partly agreed and partly disagreed with Baijia's account.
