荊、雍之界，蠻左數反，山帥文道期積為邊患，中兵王僧辯征之，頻戰不利，遣量助之。 On the Jing–Yong frontier the southern tribes rose again and again. The mountain chief Wen Daoqi had long plagued the border. Wang Sengbian campaigned against him without success and sent Liang to help.

量至，與僧辯并力，大破道期，斬其酋長，俘虜萬計。 When Liang arrived he and Sengbian joined forces, crushed Daoqi, beheaded the chiefs, and took tens of thousands of captives.
