是時，吳越王錢镠與安重誨有隙，唐方絕镠朝貢，羽等被留經歲，而崇以疾卒。 At that time King Qian Liu of Wu and Yue was at odds with An Chonghui; the Tang court had just cut off his tribute missions; Yu and his party were detained for a year, and Chong died of illness.

明宗得镠表大喜，由是吳越復通於中國。 Mingzong received Liu's memorial with great joy, and from that time Wu and Yue resumed contact with the central court.
