始與楚軍席寶田合。 For the first time he joined forces with Xi Baotian's Chu Army.

十一年，會席軍敗苗酋張臭迷之黨於茶牛坡，斬馘甚眾，降者數万。 In the eleventh year he joined Xi's army in defeating the followers of the Miao chief Zhang Choumi at Chaniupo, killing a great host and accepting the surrender of tens of thousands.

旋破群苗於清平香爐山，寶田擒張臭迷。 He soon routed the massed Miao at Xianglushan in Qingping, and Baotian captured Zhang Choumi.
