項羽倍約，自立為西楚霸王，諸侯皆屬，可謂至彊。 Xiang Yu broke the covenant and proclaimed himself Hegemon-King of Western Chu. All the feudal lords submitted to him, and he could truly be called supreme in power.

然漢王起巴蜀，鞭笞天下，劫略諸侯，遂誅項羽滅之。 Yet the King of Han rose from Ba and Shu, scourged the realm, subdued the feudal lords one by one, and finally destroyed Xiang Yu and extinguished his line.
