及京城陷，異隨臨城公蕭大連，大連板為司馬，委以軍事。 When the capital fell Yi followed Prince of Lincheng Xiao Dalian, who made him marshal and gave him the army.

異性殘暴，無遠略，督責大連軍主及以左右私樹威福，眾並患之。 Yi was cruel and shortsighted; he squeezed Dalian's commanders and used favorites to build private power, and all hated him.

是時大連亦趣東陽之信安嶺，欲之鄱陽，異乃為子仙鄉導，令執大連。 Dalian was also hurrying toward Xin'an Ridge in Dongyang, bound for Poyang. Yi guided Zixian and had him seize Dalian.
