When Yixin wished to kill the crown prince, he judged Dalugu cruel and resolute enough for the task; he sent him with Inner Attendant Direct Chief Saba to the Upper Capital, where together with the acting commander Xiao Tade they led strongmen by night to the prison chamber, deceived the prince with word of an amnesty, called him out and killed him, boxed his head and returned, and falsely reported that he had died of sudden illness.
