長沙宣武王時爲梁州刺史。 The Prince of Changsha, the Xuanwu King, then held Liangzhou.

旣至襄陽，督遣援軍，且獲宣武王書而反，高祖甚嘉之。 At Xiangyang he drove the relief forces, secured the Xuanwu King's letter, and returned; Gaozu commended him in the highest terms.
