有頃，宮中火發，出帝以劍擁後宮十餘人將赴火，為小吏薛超所持。 Before long fire broke out in the palace. The Deposed Emperor, sword in hand, gathered more than ten women of the inner palace and was about to throw himself into the flames. Minor official Xue Chao seized him.
