泰始二年正月，索兒、光世竝在省，安都信催令速去，二人俱自省逃出，攜安都諸子及家累，席捲北奔。 In the first month of the second year of Taishi, Suo'er and Guangshi were both at court. Andou trusted an urgent message telling him to flee at once. The two men escaped from the palace together, taking Andou's sons and his entire household, and fled north in haste.

初，安都從子索兒，前廢帝景和中，為前軍將軍，直閤，從誅諸公，封武安縣男，食邑三百戶。 Earlier, Andou's agnatic nephew Suo'er had served during the Jinghe era of Emperor Qianfei as vanguard general and direct attendant, joined in the slaughter of the princes and high ministers, and was enfeoffed as Baron of Wu'an county with a fief of three hundred households.

太宗即位，以為左將軍，直閤如故。 When Emperor Ming ascended the throne, Suo'er was made left general while retaining his post as direct attendant.
