又立隆城鎮，以始欣族子愷為鎮將。 They also established Longcheng garrison and made Shixin's kinsman Kai garrison commander.

始欣恐獲罪，陰來請降，帝遣使以詔書、鐵券、衣冠等賜之，為愷所獲，以送子建。 Fearing punishment, Shixin secretly offered surrender; the emperor sent edict, iron bond, robes, and gifts, but Kai seized them and sent them to Zijian.

子建奏以隆城鎮為南梁州，用愷為刺史，囚始欣於南鄭。 Zijian memorialized to make Longcheng garrison into Southern Liang province, appoint Kai inspector, and imprison Shixin at Nanzheng.

嚴始欣重賂敬紹，得還巴州，遂舉兵擊嚴愷，滅之。 Yan Shixin heavily bribed Jingshao, returned to Ba province, raised troops, attacked Yan Kai, and destroyed him.
