八月，宋兵由開州運糧餉達，文安率奇兵，間道邀擊之，獲緫管方富等。
In the eighth month Song forces shipped grain from Kaizhou to Da. Wen'an led picked troops along a bypath, ambushed the convoy, and took Supervisor Fang Fu and others.
中統元年，授文安監軍。
In the first year of Zhongtong (1260), Wen'an was appointed military supervisor.
授文安開達忠萬梁山等處招討使。
Wen'an was appointed Pacification Commissioner of Kai, Da, Zhong, Wan, Liang Mountain, and other districts.
宋兵來爭，相持半月，文仲以兵來援，宋兵宵遁，文安追擊，大敗之。
Song troops came to dispute the position. After a standoff of half a month Wenzhong arrived with reinforcements; the Song army fled by night, and Wen'an pursued and routed them.
至元元年，宋都統張喜引兵攻蟠龍，大戰，敗之，喜潛師宵遁，出得漢城，文安遣兵追襲，又敗之，擒裨將陳亮。
In the first year of Zhiyuan (1264) the Song commander-in-chief Zhang Xi attacked Panlong. Wen'an defeated him in a major battle; Xi slipped away by night toward Dehan City; Wen'an sent troops in pursuit, defeated him again, and captured Vice-General Chen Liang.
宋兵攻潼川，行省命文安赴援，敗宋師于射洪之納垻，斬獲甚眾。
When Song forces attacked Tongchuan, the Branch Secretariat ordered Wen'an to reinforce. He defeated the Song army at Naba in Shehong and killed or captured a great number.
宋都統祁昌以重兵運糧餉得漢，且遷其官屬於內地，大淵命文安先邀之，昌立柵椒原以守，合兵攻之，連戰三日，獲祁昌，俘得漢守臣向良家屬，以招良，良以城降，以所俘獻闕下。
The Song commander-in-chief Qi Chang shipped grain in force to Dehan and also moved his officials' families inland. Dayuan ordered Wen'an to intercept him first. Chang built a stockade at Jiaoyuan to defend, but their combined forces attacked for three days and captured Qi Chang. They took the family of Dehan's defender Xiang Liang to summon him; Liang surrendered the city, and the captives were presented at court.
冬，緫帥汪惟正遣其將李木波等由間道襲開州，文安遣千戶王福引兵助之。
That winter the supreme commander Wang Weizheng sent Li Mubo and others along a concealed route against Kaizhou; Wen'an dispatched the chiliarch Wang Fu to reinforce.
宋諸路兵來救，圍城三匝，築壘城外，文安密遣人入城，諭以堅守。
Song troops from several circuits arrived to relieve the siege, ringing the city threefold and erecting outer ramparts. Wen'an secretly sent men inside to urge them to hold firm.
四年春，行省命文安往援，即率兵斷其糧道，宋兵戰甚力，飛矢中文安面，拔矢力戰，大破之，殺其將張德等。
In the spring of the fourth year the Branch Secretariat ordered Wen'an to the relief. He led troops to sever the enemy supply line. The Song fought fiercely; a stray arrow struck Wen'an in the face—he drew it out, pressed the attack, broke them utterly, and killed their general Zhang De and others.
二月，文安以創甚，還蟠龍，宋兵遂復開州。
In the second month his wounds were grave and Wen'an withdrew to Panlong; the Song then retook Kaizhou.
文安乃遣緫把馬才、楊彪掠達州盧灘峽，與宋兵遇，擒其將蒲德。
Wen'an then sent company commanders Ma Cai and Yang Biao to raid Luzhan Gorge in Dazhou; meeting Song forces, they captured the general Pu De.
