夏四月戊戌，安重誨使河中衙內指揮使楊彥溫逐其節度使從珂。 On wuxu of the fourth month, in summer, An Chonghui had Yang Yanwen, Hezhong garrison commander, drive out the circuit’s military governor Congke.

辛亥，自通執彥溫殺之。 On xinhai Zitong seized Yanwen and executed him.

彥溫雖有罪，有命獲而勿殺，自通擅殺之，故不書「誅」而書「殺」。 Yanwen was guilty, but the order was to capture him, not kill him. Because Zitong killed him without authority, the text says “killed” rather than “executed.”
