昔舜為庶人時，堯妻之二女，居于媯汭，其後因為氏姓，姓媯氏。 When Shun was still a commoner, Yao gave him his two daughters in marriage, and they lived at Gui Rui. Their descendants therefore took Gui as their clan surname.
