建光元年春，幽州刺史冯焕、玄菟太守姚光、遼東太守蔡諷等，將兵出塞擊之，捕斬濊貊渠帥，获兵馬財物。 Spring of Jianguang 1 (121) brought Feng Huan of Youzhou, Yao Guang of Xuantu, and Cai Feng of Liaodong against them beyond the frontier; they killed Huimo chiefs and seized horses and booty.

宫乃遣嗣子遂成將二千餘人逆光等，遣使詐降； Gong sent his heir Suicheng with two thousand men against the Han commanders and offered a false surrender;

光等信之，遂成因据险厄以遮大军，而潜遣三千人攻玄菟、遼東，焚城郭，殺傷二千餘人。 When Yao Guang trusted the ruse, Suicheng seized the passes to trap the main force and secretly sent three thousand raiders against Xuantu and Liaodong, burning towns and killing more than two thousand people.
