興素與從兄嵩不相能，然敬其威重。 Yin Xing had long been at odds with his cousin Yin Song, yet he respected Song's authority.

嵩為中郎將，監羽林十餘年，以謹敕見幸。 Yin Song became General of the Gentlemen and oversaw the Feathered Forest guard for over ten years, winning favor through diligence and restraint.

顯宗即位，拜長樂衛尉，遷執金吾。 When Emperor Ming ascended the throne, Song was appointed Commandant of Changle and later transferred to Bearer of the Mace.
