父敬初，太府卿，累贈司徒、駙馬都尉。 His father Jingchu had served as Minister of the Grand Treasury and was posthumously honored as Minister of Ceremonial and Commissioner of the Imperial Son-in-Law's Household.

敬初娶梁祖之妹，初封沛郡太君。 Jingchu married the Liang Founder's younger sister, who was first titled Grand Lady of Pei.
