會詣京師，魏譙王元孝友於公門言戲過度，諸公無能面折者，干正色責之，孝友大慚，時人稱之。 Once at the capital, Yuan Xiaoyou, Prince Qiao of Wei, carried on with excessive ribaldry at court — and none of the nobles dared rebuke him to his face. Gan sternly reproached him. Xiaoyou was deeply shamed; men praised Gan for it.
