使法略罷道，本姓孫，改名景玄，以為臧質寧遠參軍。 The conspirators had Falüe leave the priesthood; his original surname was Sun, and he was renamed Jingxuan and appointed Staff Officer under Zang Zhi, General Who Pacifies the Far.

湛之又謂曄等：「臧質見與異常，歲內當還，已報質，悉攜門生義故，其亦當解人此旨，故應得健兒數百。 Zhanzhi told Ye and the others, "Zang Zhi treats me with exceptional favor and should return within the year. I have already informed Zhi to bring all his students and old associates; he should understand our purpose and can supply several hundred stalwart fighters.

質與蕭思話款密，當仗要之，二人並受大將軍眷遇，必無異同。 Zhi and Xiao Sihua are on intimate terms and must be enlisted; both received the Grand General's favor and will surely not waver.

思話三州義故眾力，亦不減質。 Sihua's followers across three provinces are no fewer in strength than Zhi's.

及南郡王義宣與江州刺史臧質反，朝庭假玄謨輔國將軍，拜豫州刺史，與柳元景南討，軍屯梁山，夾岸築偃月壘，水陸待之。 When Yixuan, Prince of Nanjun, and Jiangzhou Inspector Zang Zhi rose in revolt, the court named Xuanmo acting Pacifying-State General and Inspector of Yuzhou. With Liu Yuanying he marched south, encamped at Liangshan, and threw up crescent ramparts on both riverbanks to meet the rebels by land and water.

義宣遣劉諶之就臧質，陳軍城南，玄謨留老弱守城，悉精兵接戰，賊遂大潰。 Yixuan sent Liu Shenzhi to Zang Zhi's camp. The rebels drew up south of the city. Xuanmo left the aged and weak to guard the walls and led every able man to the fight; the enemy collapsed.
