領軍將軍張稷，是杲從舅，杲嘗以公事彈稷，稷因侍宴訴高祖曰：「陸杲是臣通親，小事彈臣不貸。」 Zhang Ji, the Army Director, was Gao’s collateral maternal uncle; Gao once impeached him on official grounds. At a banquet Ji complained to the High Ancestor: “Lu Gao is my close kinsman—over a trifle he impeached me and would show no mercy.”
