渭帥章楶合熙、秦、慶三道兵築好水川，命總管王文振統之，而可適將軍為副。 Zhang Jie, commander of Wei, combined troops from the Xi, Qin, and Qing circuits to build a fort at Haoshui River, with Wang Wenzhen as overall commander and Keshi as his deputy.

熙州兵千人失道盡死，文振歸罪於可適，楶即下之吏，宰相章惇欲按軍法，哲宗不許，猶削十三官而罷。 A thousand Xizhou troops lost their way and perished; Wenzhen blamed Keshi, and Jie had him arrested; Chancellor Zhang Dun wanted him executed under military law, but Zhezong refused, though he still stripped thirteen ranks and removed him from command.

楶請留以責效，乃以權第十二將。 Jie asked to retain him until he could prove himself, and he was made acting commander of the Twelfth Regiment.
