覺以精兵萬騎擊敗之。 Jue met him with ten thousand elite cavalry and drove him back.

宋建平州為泰寧軍，以覺為節度使，以安弼、黨為徽猷閣待制，令宣撫司出銀絹數萬犒賞。 Song designated Ping Prefecture the Taining Army and appointed Zhang Jue its military commissioner. An Bi and Dang were made attendants-in-waiting of Huiyou pavilion, and the pacification office was ordered to provide tens of thousands in silver and silk as rewards.

覺喜，遠迎。 Delighted, Jue went far outside the city to meet the envoys.

金人諜知，舉兵來襲，覺不得歸，奔燕。 Jin agents discovered his absence and launched a surprise attack. Cut off from Ping Prefecture, Jue fled to Yan.

金人克三州，始來索覺，王安中諱之。 After capturing the three prefectures, the Jin demanded that Jue be handed over, but Wang Anzhong concealed him.

金人曰，非覺也，以兵來取。 The Jin declared that the head was not Jue's and sent troops to take him by force.

安中不得已，殺覺，函其首送金。 With no way out, Anzhong killed Jue and sent his severed head to the Jin in a box.
