同邑有張擎者，虎頸板肋，力舉百鈞，橫行為閭里患，眾請士寶除之。 In the same county lived Zhang Qing, bull-necked and barrel-chested, able to lift a hundred jun. He terrorized the neighborhood, and the people begged Shibao to remove him.

同飲酒，擎自誇其勇，酒酣，攘臂作勢，士寶徐以箸點其胸，曰：「子盍坐而言乎？」 They drank together. Qing bragged of his courage; when he was well into his cups he rolled up his sleeves and squared up. Shibao lightly tapped his chest with chopsticks and said, "Why not sit down and talk?"

擎遂默然，少頃辭去，越日，死於橋亭。 Qing fell silent at once. Soon he excused himself and left; the next day he was found dead at a bridge pavilion.
