國學舊法，每以積分次第貢以出官，執政用監丞張起岩議，欲廢之，而以推擇德行為務。 Under the old National University system, students were recommended for office in order of accumulated points. The chief ministers, following Supervisor Zhang Qiyan's proposal, wanted to abolish that system and select men on moral conduct alone.
