捻首張總愚竄侯集，際昌會張曜夜襲之，擒其黨獨角虎、週馬，授河北鎮總兵。 When the Nian chief Zhang Zongyu slipped into Houji, Jichang and Zhang Yao raided the camp by night, seized his lieutenants Dujiaohu and Zhou Ma, and Jichang was made provincial commander of the Hebei garrison.
