永泰中，與韓會、盧東美、張正則三人友善，居上元，好言當世事，皆自謂王佐才，故號「四夔」。 During the Yongtai era he was close to Han Hui, Lu Dongmei, and Zhang Zhengze. All four lived in Shangyuan, loved to debate the affairs of the day, and each considered himself fit to serve as a king's right hand, so they were called the "Four Kui."
