〈（《九國誌·趙庭隱傳》：王彥章守中都，庭隱在其軍中。 (From the Biography of Zhao Tingyin in the Jiuguo Zhi: Wang Yanzhang defended Zhongdu, and Tingyin served in his army.

及彥章敗，庭隱為莊宗所獲，將以就戮，大將夏魯奇奏曰：「此矬也，其材可用。」 When Yanzhang was defeated, Tingyin was taken by Zhuangzong and was about to be executed. The great general Xia Luqi memorialized, "He is a short man, but his abilities are worth keeping."
