康定元年，直秘閣趙希言奏：「太廟自來有寢無廟，因堂為室，東西十六間，內十四間為七室，兩首各一夾室。 In 1040, Zhao Xiyan of the Direct Secretariat memorialized: "The ancestral temple has always had a rest hall but no separate temple hall, with chambers carved from the main hall—sixteen bays east and west, fourteen forming seven chambers, with one flanking chamber at each end.
