是歲冬，厄魯特宰桑達什策淩等為亂，定邊右副將軍兆惠駐伊犁辦賊。 That winter the Oirat chief Dashiceling and others rose in revolt; Deputy General Zhaohui was posted at Ili to suppress them.

永貴既抵巴里坤，具以軍事上聞，上嘉其奮勉，予三等輕車都尉世職，令從兆惠自額林沁畢爾罕進兵。 On reaching Barkol Yong Gui reported fully on the campaign; the emperor commended his zeal, granted a hereditary third-rank commandery chariot captaincy, and ordered him to advance with Zhaohui from Elinqin Bi'erhan.
