又嘗以郡符取部內兇肆中人隸其籍者,遣於青州,舁喪至洺,郡人憚其遠,願輸直百緡以免其行,阮本無喪,即受直放還。 He also once used a prefectural order to take a registered man from an undertaker's shop in his territory and send him to Qingzhou to carry a coffin back to Ming. Dreading the distance, the people offered one hundred strings of cash to be spared the journey. Ruan had no bereavement of his own, yet accepted the payment and released the man.
