連重遇殺昶，懼為國人所討，與朱文進連姻以自固。 Lian Chongyu, who had killed Chang, feared popular retribution and cemented his position by marrying into Zhu Wenjin's family.

羣臣皆莫敢議，乃掖朱文進升殿，率百官北面而臣之。 No minister dared object. They helped Zhu Wenjin onto the throne and led the officials to bow north and acknowledge him as sovereign.

文進以重遇判六軍諸衞事，王氏子弟在福州者無少長皆殺之。 Wenjin put Chongyu in charge of the Six Armies and palace guards. Every Wang clansman in Fuzhou, young or old, was killed.

延政已得三州，重遇亦殺文進，傳首建州以自歸。 Yanzheng had already gained three prefectures. Chongyu also killed Wenjin and sent his head to Jianzhou in submission.
