In the seventh year of Tonghe, on jiachen day of the first spring month the court went to Dali Mountain. On the yichou new moon of the second month the court worshipped the sun and went to Hun River. On xinchou day of the third month the five northeastern tribes Yuelidu, Pouali, Aolimi, Punuli, and Tieli were ordered to submit yearly tribute of sixty-five thousand sable pelts and three hundred horses. On bingwu day Wugu tribal military commissioner Xiao Puda attacked the rebel Dilie and destroyed him. In the fourth summer month the court worshipped the sun. On bingyin day famine relief was distributed in Chuan and Rao Prefectures. On xinwei day poverty relief was distributed in the Central Capital. On guiyou day anonymous letters were forbidden. On renchen day Three Departments commissioner Lü Demao was appointed Privy Vice Commissioner. On renzi day of the intercalary month Xiao Jinzhong was appointed Zhangwu Army military commissioner and concurrently commissioner for five prefectures. On wuwu day Tibetan king Binglizun memorialized that for all tributary missions he asked to pass through Xia territory; permission was granted. On bingyin day of the fifth month Prince Zongzhen was enfeoffed as Prince of Liang; Zongyuan was made Yongqing Army military commissioner; Zongjian Right Guard senior general; Zongyuan Left Xiao Guard senior general; Zongwei Right Guard senior general; imperial nephew Zongfan Zhaoyi Army military commissioner; Zongxi Zhenguo Army military commissioner; Zongliang Jiang Prefecture military commissioner; Zongbi Pu Prefecture observation commissioner; Zongyi Cao Prefecture defense commissioner; and Zongxian and Zongsu both defense commissioners. Zhang Jian was appointed acting Minister over the Masses and concurrent Political Affairs Commissioner. On bingshen day of the sixth month Pindaluogui tribal military commissioner Boluri reached Bisa River in light rain when heaven and earth suddenly darkened; a strong wind swept forty-three men spinning through the air, and after a long time they fell several li away. Boluri fortunately escaped unharmed. One wine jug on the ground did not move at all. On bingwu day of the eighth month the court performed the great willow-shooting rite. On gengshen day Yelü Liuning and Wu Shouda were appointed envoys to Song to congratulate the Emperor's birthday, and Xiao Gaojiu and Ma Yimou envoys to Song to congratulate New Year's Day. Associate Grand Chancellor Xiao Hongyi was promoted to Extraordinary Honorific Equal to Three Councillors, Esteemed Father, and concurrent Political Affairs Commissioner. On jiazi day of the seventh autumn month an edict ordered Hanlin awaiting-draft Chen Sheng to paint the Victory Chart of the Southern Campaign at the Five Phoenix Hall in the Upper Capital. On dingmao day the Punuli tribe came with tribute. On the gengshen new moon of the ninth month the Punii envoy reported that his country and Wuli shared a border and had repeatedly raided each other; an edict was issued to instruct them. On wuchen day an edict forbade inner and outer officials who accept bribes and, when discovered, blame children or servants. On gengwu day prisoners were reviewed. Horses were requisitioned for the eastern expedition army. That month the court encamped at Tuhe River valley. In the tenth winter month two newly built halls in the Central Capital were named Yanqing and Yongan. On renyin day Shunyi Army military commissioner Shi Yongzhong was appointed Han Chinese palace metropolitan garrison commander. On bingchen day an edict made Eastern Capital Prince Xiao Paiya supreme commander, Palace Front inspector general Xiao Xulie vice commander, and Eastern Capital regent Yelü Bage inspector general for a campaign against Goryeo. Goryeo garrison officials were also told that those who led their people to surrender would be richly rewarded, while those who held fast would regret it too late. On renxu day of the eleventh month Lü Demao was assigned to manage the Ministry of Personnel, Yang Youxuan the Detailed Review Bureau, Liu Sheng was made Ba Prefecture military commissioner, and Northern Chancellery chancellor Liu Shenxing Zhangwu Army military commissioner. On gengchen day the wearing of bright gold, filigree gold, and gold leaf was forbidden. On wuzi day the court visited the Central Capital. On dingyou day of the twelfth month Song sent Lü Yijian and Cao Zhang to congratulate the Thousand Age Festival. That month Xiao Paiya and others fought Goryeo at the Cha and Tuo rivers; the Liao army was defeated and many from the Tianyun and Right Pishi armies drowned; Yaolian tent xiangwen Aguoda, Reception Bureau commissioner Zhuogu, Bohai xiangwen Gao Qingming, Tianyun Army xiangwen Haili, and others all died. At the palace examination jinshi Zhang Kegong and thirty-seven others passed and were granted degrees.

In the eighth year of Tonghe, in the first spring month Song sent Chen Yaozuo and Zhang Qun with congratulations. On renxu day Tieli came with tribute. Emperor Jingzong's temple was built at the Central Capital. Shazhou military commissioner Cao Shun was enfeoffed as Prince of Dunhuang commandery. On dingwei day of the second month former Southern Privy Commissioner Han Zhixin was made Central Capital regent and Han Chinese palace metropolitan garrison commander Wang Jizhong Southern Privy Commissioner. On bingchen day sacrifice was offered to the Wind Lord. On jiwei day of the third month Khitan Hongyi Palace commissioner Heshi was made Xingsheng Palace metropolitan garrison commander, former Yao'en nian tribal military commissioner Kongguli Jiqing Palace metropolitan garrison commander, and Left attendant langjun Yelü Han Fourth Victory Army inspector general. On yihai day Eastern Capital Prince Xiao Hanning, Eastern Capital regent Yelü Bage, imperial uncle-in-law Associate Grand Chancellor Xiao Paiya, linya Yaozhi, and others returned from the Goryeo campaign; charged with violating military discipline, their crimes were enumerated and they were released. On jimao day an edict added ranks for Bohai officers who had merit in the Goryeo campaign. On renwu day the Flying Dragon Court horses were inspected. On guiwei day Huiba tribal Grand Guardian Talage came with tribute. On bingxu day the Eastern Capital Bohai attendance officer metropolitan director and ranking supervisor was established. On the wuzi new moon of the fourth summer month the court went to Mian Mountain. On renshen day of the fifth month imperial son-in-law Xiao Kezhong was appointed Changning Army military commissioner. On yihai day Ning Prefecture Bohai households were relocated between the Liao and Tu rivers. On jimao day Hesuguan tiyin Abuge and chancellor Saila came with tribute. On wuzi day of the sixth month children of officers who died in the Goryeo campaign were enrolled. On jichou day Left yilibi Xiao Jieli was appointed Southwestern Pacification commissioner and Censor-in-Chief Xiao Yaozhi yilibi. On yihai day tiyin Yelü Hege was made Southern Chancellery chancellor and Southern linya Yelü Hanliu tiyin. On guimao day the prohibition on timber harvesting at Dabai Mountain and Yuanling was relaxed. On yisi day Southern Pishi Army officers and others were granted gold and silk in varying amounts for merit in the Goryeo campaign. On jiwei day of the seventh autumn month an edict increased enfeoffments for the wives of generals who died in the Goryeo campaign. On gengshen day Northeastern Route xiangwen Yelü Dujie was made Northern Chancellery Great King. On xinyou day the Yaoli and Niege Xi armies were granted gold and silk for merit in the Goryeo campaign. On guihai day an edict ordered Zubu to continue yearly tribute of one thousand seven hundred horses, four hundred forty camels, ten thousand sable-mouse pelts, and twenty-five thousand blue-mouse pelts. On wuchen day the court inspected the crops. On jisi day Huiba tribal Grand Guardian Mamne came with tribute. On gengwu day the court inspected the market and granted partial amnesty to prisoners held there. Jiening and Ma Yi were appointed chief and deputy envoys to congratulate Song on the Emperor's birthday. On gengyin day of the eighth month langjun Hebulu and others were dispatched to lead various tribal troops to join the main army against Goryeo. On jisi day of the ninth month Shi Yongzhong was appointed Associate Administrative Affairs Commissioner. Song sent Cui Zundu and Wang Yingchang to congratulate the Thousand Age Festival. On renshen day prisoners were reviewed. On jiaxu day prisoners were reviewed again. On gengchen day Hesuguan tiyin Abugo came with tribute. On renwu day the court encamped at Tuhe River valley. On yiyou day of the tenth winter month an edict ordered all circuits to report decided matters great and small in itemized lists once every three months. On wuzi day Yelü Jichong and Zheng Xuanxia were dispatched to congratulate Song on New Year's Day. On guisi day an edict forbade the three horizontal-tent houses to marry with low small-tent clans; all marriages had to be memorialized before proceeding. On guimao day former Northern Chancellery Great King Jianfu was made azagazhi. On jiachen day Eastern Route Haoli Grand Guardian city was renamed Xian Prefecture and a military commission was established to govern it. On jiayin day of the eleventh month Xuande County was established in Yun Prefecture. On xinmao day of the twelfth month the court encamped at the Central Capital. On yisi day Prince of Guangping Zongye was made Central Capital regent and Dading intendant, and Han Zhixin tiyin. On xinhai day Goryeo King Xun sent envoys asking to resume tribute; an edict accepted their submission.

In the ninth year of Tonghe, in the first spring month Song sent Liu Ping and Zhang Yuanpu with congratulations. In the second month the court went to Yuanyang Marsh. On gengwu day of the fifth month Yelü Zizhong returned from a mission to Goryeo; King Xun submitted a memorial asking to resume vassal status and tribute and to return the detained Liao envoy Zhilali. Zhilali had spent six years in Goryeo with loyal integrity unbroken and was made linya. On xinwei day envoys were dispatched to absolve King Xun and grant his request. On guiyou day Yelü Zongjiao was made Acting Grand Mentor, Zonghui Qisheng Army military commissioner, and Liu Sheng Crown Prince Grand Tutor, and all were granted the Meritorious Subject Who Preserves Integrity title. On the gengxu new moon of the seventh autumn month there was a solar eclipse; an edict ordered close ministers to perform sun-rescue rites on the Emperor's behalf. On jiayin day envoys were dispatched to grant Shazhou Uyghur Prince of Dunhuang Cao Shun clothing. Zhala, Geng Yuanji, Han Jiu, and Song Zhang were appointed chief and deputy envoys for the following year to congratulate Song on the Emperor's birthday and New Year's Day. On wuwu day of the ninth month imperial son-in-law Xiao Shaozong was appointed Associate Grand Chancellor. On dingmao day the civil and military hundred officials submitted a memorial offering an honorific title; permission was refused; after three submissions permission was granted. On yihai day Shazhou Uyghur Prince of Dunhuang Cao Shun sent envoys with tribute. Han civilian horses from all circuits were requisitioned for the eastern expedition army. Yilibi Yanning was appointed vice metropolitan horses-and-army garrison commander to command the eastern expedition. That month the court encamped at Jinping Marsh. Song sent Song Shou and Luo Jilun to congratulate the Thousand Age Festival. On the wuyin new moon of the tenth winter month Nieli was made Xi King inspector general and Tudieli Northern Prince's House Sheli Army xiangwen. Langjun Lao, envoy to Shazhou, returned, and an edict pardoned his accumulated punishments. By old custom when the state dispatched envoys to distant countries it often chose convicts who possessed talent and ability; when they returned, their crimes were remitted. On wuzi day the Southwestern Road pacification commissioner reported that among the Tangut tribes the Songxi clan had not delivered tribute on schedule and often harbored other intentions, and that envoys should be sent in season to supervise them. An edict said: "The petty tribes on the frontier owe annual fixed tribute. Frontier officials are arrogant and unrestrained and levy without limit; the tribes live in fear but cannot make themselves heard. Simply send upright and cautious officials and generals, show them favor and good faith, and let no one encroach or plunder, and they will naturally submit. They again reported that the Diju and Dieliede tribes said pacification commissioner Han Liu had governed benevolently and his term was now ending, and asked that he be retained. The Emperor ordered his record of governance submitted. On xinchou day the court went to the Central Capital. On renyin day the Dashi state sent envoys presenting an elephant and regional products and requesting a marriage alliance on behalf of Prince Zicege. On dingsi day of the eleventh month Qishui Commandery King Han Zhixin was appointed Nanjing regent, Xijin intendant, and supreme commander of troops and horses. On jiwei day yilibi Xiao Xiaoshun was made supreme commander of all Southern Route mobile palaces and promoted to Left Vice Director. On dinghai day of the twelfth month monks were forbidden to burn their bodies or char their fingers. On wuzi day an edict ordered construction of the Taizu temple at the Central Capital, with regulations and ritual vessels all following ancient standards. On yisi day an edict ordered that the great enfeoffment rite be performed the coming winter. Jinshi Zhang Zhongju and forty-five others passed the examinations.

In the first year of Taiping, on the dingchou new moon of the first spring month Song envoys Lu Zongdao and Cheng Ji came to offer congratulations. The court went to the Hun River. On yimao day of the second month the court visited the Bo River. On renxu day the court hunted at Gaoliu Forest. On wuxu day of the third month Prince Boyizhi was born. On gengzi day imperial son-in-law Commandant Xiao Shaoye built a private walled town that was granted the name Muzhou, with army designation Changqing. That month the King of Dashi again sent envoys requesting marriage; Prince Banlangjun Husili's daughter Kelao was enfeoffed as princess and married to him. On wushen day of the fourth summer month the Eastern Capital regent reported that chiefs of thirty Jurchen tribes each asked to send their sons to the court to wait on attendance. An edict ordered them to come with their fathers to receive covenant. On yimao day the court reviewed prisoners. On dingmao day Laizhou was established; that month the court took the summer retreat at Mianshan. On the jiaxu new moon of the seventh autumn month Jurchen who had accompanied the hunts were granted autumn garments. On yihai day Guli was sent to retrieve from the Central Capital the jade seal that Later Jin had presented. The Zubu came with tribute. On xinsi day the court went to Shaling. That month the court hunted on the Huang River. In the ninth month the court visited the Central Capital. On dingwei day of the tenth winter month Dilie chief Pobai came with tribute of horses and camels. On wushen day the court reviewed prisoners. On renzi day Song envoys Li Yi and Wang Zhongbin came to congratulate the Thousand Age Festival and Su Weifu and Zhou Ding to congratulate the coming New Year's Day; Xiao Shan and Cheng Zhu were immediately sent on a return mission. Tangut chief Helu came with tribute. On jiwei day Sa Minjieli was appointed supreme inspector, Gao Liu deputy inspector, Yelü Luohannu Left Pishi xiangwen, Sanggu Right Pishi xiangwen, Liaoliao Northwestern Route jinwu, Yelü Shengyin Censor-in-Chief, and Qiuge Commandant of the Imperial Son-in-law; Xiao Chun and Guli were both made great generals. On gengshen day the court visited Tongtian Observatory to watch dragon-and-fish aquatic performances. The next day the court visited again. On returning the Emperor ascended the jade carriage, entered Wanshou Hall through the inner three gates, offered wine before the imperial portraits of the seven temples, and then feasted the imperial clan. On guiwei day of the eleventh month the Emperor presided at Zhaqing Hall; civil and military officials presented the register and bestowed the honorific Sagaciously Cultured, Heroically Martial, Conforming to the Way, Utmost Virtue, Reverently Humane, Broadly Filial, Meritoriously Accomplished, Governingly Settled, Brilliantly Sage, Spiritually Praised, Heaven-Assisted Emperor; a grand amnesty was proclaimed, the era name was changed to Taiping, and officials at home and abroad were promoted in varying measure. Song dispatched envoys on a goodwill mission, and Xia and Goryeo sent envoys with tribute. On jiashen day Prince of Liang Zongzhen was invested as crown prince.

In the second year, during the first spring month, the court fished at Nashui. On the xinchou new moon of the second month the court encamped at Yu'er Marsh. On jiaxu day of the third month the court went to Changchun Prefecture. On dingchou day Song envoy Xue Yikuo came announcing that Song Emperor Zhen had died and his son Zhen had succeeded. Supreme inspector Yelü Shengyin and others were sent as Song mourning sacrifice envoys, and linya Xiao Rixin and inspection commissioner Feng Yanxiu as Song post-funeral condolence envoys. On wuyin day jinwu Yelü Xieling and introducing commissioner Yao Juxin were sent as envoys to condole on the late Song emperor. On wuzi day monks in the three capitals were fed on behalf of the late Song emperor. That month an earthquake struck; in Yun and Ying prefectures houses collapsed and the ground sank; Mount Weibai split for several hundred paces and springs gushed forth into streams. In the fourth summer month the court went to Mianshan for the summer retreat. On yihai day of the fifth month Associate Administrative Affairs Commissioner Shi Yongzhong died. On gengchen day Iron Li sent envoys presenting sixteen Wurang households. On jiwei day of the sixth month Song sent envoys including Xue You bearing keepsakes of the late emperor. On yimao day of the seventh autumn month Yelü Xinning was appointed military commissioner of the Fengling Army, Goryeo Associate Administrative Affairs Commissioner Wang Tongxian military commissioner of the Jinghai Army, Yelü Suizhong military commissioner of the Changning Army, Geng Yanji military commissioner of the Zhaode Army, and Gao Shouzhen military commissioner of the Hexi Army. On guisi day of the ninth month Minister Yelü Shengyin and Han Ge were sent to congratulate the Song emperor on his accession. On renyin day of the tenth winter month palace rear official Zhang Kegong was sent to congratulate Western Xia King Li Dezhao on his birthday; Yelü Saogu and Han Wang to congratulate the Song empress dowager on her birthday; and Yelü Xianning and Shi Kezhong to congratulate Song on New Year's Day. That month the court encamped at Hulugusi Marsh. On guimao day Chief Minister Lü Demao, Associate Administrative Affairs Commissioner Wu Shuda, Privy Council Vice Commissioner Yang Youxuan, and Right Chancellor Ma Baozhong were granted money and goods in varying measure. On xinhai day the court reached the Upper Capital and proclaimed a limited amnesty for prisoners within the capital district. On bingxu day of the eleventh month Song sent envoys to express thanks. On xinchou day of the twelfth month Goryeo King Xun died; his son Qin sent envoys to report it, and envoys were immediately ordered to invest Qin as King of Goryeo. On jiayin day Song sent Liu Ye and Guo Zhiyan to congratulate the Thousand Age Festival. That year jinshi Zhang Jian and forty-seven others passed the examinations.

In the third year, on the bingyin new moon of the first spring month the court fished at Nashui. Yelü Shengyin was appointed Political Affairs Commissioner. On yihai day Xiao Taide was appointed Southern Palace supreme supervisor and linya Yelü Xinning Northwestern Route pacification supreme supervisor. On xinsi day the private walled town of the Princess of Yue was granted the name Yizhou, with army designation Qingyi. On bingshen day of the second month Ding Zhen was appointed military commissioner of the Wuxin Army and his fief was changed to Prince of Lanling Commandery. On wushen day Eastern Plain Commandery King Xiao Paiya was appointed Southwestern Route supreme pacification commissioner and advanced to King of Bin. In the fourth summer month Yelü Shouning was appointed supreme inspector. In the fifth month the court took the summer retreat at Mianshan. On wushen day of the sixth month Southern Court xuanhui commissioner Liu Jing was appointed associate administrative affairs commissioner; Xiao Xiaohui was made deputy inspector; and Xiao Xiaogong was made Eastern Capital commander and concurrent frontier inspection commissioner. On wuwu day Xiao Lian was appointed Left yilibi and Xiao Lin xiangwen. On wuyin day of the seventh autumn month Southern Chancellery chancellor Yelü Hege was appointed Upper Capital regent and enfeoffed as Qishui Commandery King. On bingxu day the Empress's birthday was established as Shuntian Festival. On dinghai day Mianshan was granted the name Yong'an. That month the court hunted at Chishan. On the renchen new moon of the intercalary ninth month Xiao Baida and Han Shaoyong were sent as envoys to congratulate Song on New Year's Day, and Tang Gude and Cheng Zhaowen as envoys to congratulate Song on the emperor's birthday. On gengchen day of the tenth winter month Song sent Xue Kui and Guo Sheng to congratulate the Shuntian Festival and Wang Zhen and Murong Weisu to congratulate the Thousand Age Festival. The Eastern Expedition Army reported: "Commander Xieling and Changgun Kenu led troops in from Maomuguo Ridge, and linya Gao Jiu, subordinate general Da Kuangyi, and others led troops in from Gushan Ridge. In the intercalary month they had not yet reached Talu River when they returned without encountering the enemy. They rendezvoused at Hongpazhi Ridge that month, and very many camels and horses died. The court encamped on the Liao River. On the xinmao new moon of the eleventh month Imperial Nephew Zongfan was appointed military commissioner of the Guide Army; Northern Chancellery chancellor Xiao Xiaomu was made Nanjing regent and enfeoffed as King of Yan; Nanjing regent Han Zhixin was made Southern Court Great King and supreme commander of troops and horses; and Qiu Zheng was made Yanjing transport commissioner. On renxu day of the twelfth month Zongfan was appointed Political Affairs Commissioner and enfeoffed as Prince of Three Han Commandery; Qiu Daoheng was made Central Capital deputy regent; and Feng Yanxiu was made prefect of Shunzhou. Lang Xuanhua was appointed Western Mountains transport commissioner and Zhao Qi Privy Direct Academician. On dingmao day Xiao Yong was appointed Crown Prince Grand Preceptor. On jimao day Prince Chongyuan was enfeoffed as King of Qin.

In the fourth year, on the gengyin new moon of the first spring month Song sent Zhang Chuan, Zhang Shiyu, Cheng Lin, and Ding Baoheng to offer congratulations. The court went to the Yazi River. On the jiwei new moon of the second month the court hunted on the Talu River. An edict renamed the Yazi River Huntun River and the Talu River Changchun River. On the wuzi new moon of the third month, the Thousand Age Festival, an edict granted food to elders in the various palace establishments. On guiyou day of the fourth summer month Right Chancellor Ma Baozhong's son Shihong was sent on a mission beyond the passes; reaching Pingdi Pine Forest he was killed by bandits and was specially posthumously granted military commissioner of the Zhaoxin Army. In the fifth month the court took the summer retreat at Mount Yong'an. On jiwei day of the sixth month Southern Court Great King Han Zhixin died. On wuchen day Zheng Hongjie was appointed bureau director in the Ministry of War and Liu Shenxing military commissioner of the Shunyi Army. On xinwei day Yan King Xiao Xiaomu's son Shun was appointed general of the Qianniu Guard. On jiaxu day Prince of Zhongshan Zhage was appointed military commissioner of the Baojing Army, Prince of Le'an Suige military commissioner of the Guangde Army, and Xiao Jieli military commissioner of the Zhangde Army. On gengchen day Prince Zhou Hu Dugu was transferred from the Liaoxing Army to the Linhai Army, and Qishui Commandery Prince Di Lie was appointed Southern Court great king. In the seventh autumn month the court went to Autumn Mountain. On the bingchen new moon of the eighth month Han Shaofang was appointed Privy Council direct scholar and imperial son-in-law Xiao Pidi chief inspector. In the ninth month imperial son-in-law Xiao Shaozong was appointed military commissioner of the Wuding Army and Yelü Zongfu military commissioner of the An'guo Army. In the tenth winter month the court encamped at the Liao River. Song sent Cai Qi and Li Yonghe to congratulate the Thousand Age Festival. In the eleventh month Southern Court great king Han Zhixin was posthumously enfeoffed as King of Chen. In the twelfth month Xiao Congzheng was appointed military commissioner of the Guiyi Army and Kang Jun, gate guard, was made deputy envoy to congratulate Song on New Year's Day. That year Li Zisi and forty-seven others passed the examinations.
