In the eighth year, on guichou day of the first spring month the court went to the Duck River. In the second month the court halted at Nage Marsh. On the wushen new moon of the third month Prince of Chu Xiao Ge retired and was advanced to Prince of Zheng. In the fifth summer month Wuduwan tiyin Tutugu and others begged yearly tribute of horses and camels; permission was granted. On the bingzi new moon of the sixth month the court halted at Tuogulie. On xinchou day Right yilibi Xima Liu was made great king of the Xi Six Tribes. That month, at the Cool Hall the jinshi Wang Ding and ninety-three others were passed. On jiazi day of the seventh autumn month a bear was shot at Waisila. On the jiaxu new moon of the tenth winter month the court halted at Dulujin. On gengchen day of the twelfth month Yelü Tuguci, who administered Northern Court privy affairs, was made Northern Court privy commissioner. On guimao day the court visited the Western Capital. On wuzi day, because the Empress Dowager performed the rebirth ritual, a partial amnesty was granted for prisoners at the Western Capital.

In the ninth year, on xinhai day of the first spring month the court visited Yuanyang Marsh. On xinwei day the people were forbidden to sell copper. On xinwei day of the third month Song ruler Zhen died; his nephew Shu succeeded as adopted son and took the throne. On bingwu day of the fifth summer month Prince of Sui Renxian was made Southern Court privy commissioner and transferred to Prince of Xu. That month the court summered at Helibie. On bingchen day of the seventh autumn month the court went to Crown Prince Mountain. On wuwu day the imperial uncle Chongyuan with his son Prince of Chu Nielugu, Prince of Chen Chenliu, associate Northern Court privy commissioner Xiao Hudu, Prince of Wei Tiebu, linya Nielu Pugu, supreme commander Xiao Dielide, imperial son-in-law Can and his younger brother Muzhe, Tugu, drum-and-banner zhala detail-stable Yelü Guojiu, civil-class grand guardian Xi Shu, inner treasury intendant Wugu, Defender of the Left grand guardian Dibugu, Andada, deputy palace commissioner Han Jianu, Baoshennu, and others totaling four hundred men coerced crossbow troops to attack the mobile palace. Night-guard officials Xiao Yixin, Uighur Hailin, Li, Yelü Tabuye, Asi, palace division men Jilige, Xiamo, Yixin, and Zhilu were all promoted upper generals. More than three hundred guards, soldiers, cooks, crossbowmen, umbrella-bearers, and the like each received office by degree. On the wuchen new moon of the tenth winter month the court visited Xingwang Temple. On gengwu day Six Courts grand guardian Yelü Heshu was made to administer Southern Court great king affairs. That month the court halted at Ousi Marsh. On xinchou day of the eleventh month Southern Court palace commissioner Xiao Jiuge was made Northern Court chancellor. On jiwei day the late Prince of Fuchun Yelü Yixian was posthumously enfeoffed Prince of Xu. That year the imperial son Jun was enfeoffed Prince of Liang.

In the tenth year, on jihai day of the first spring month the court traveled north. In the second month Nanjing people were forbidden to breach dikes to plant glutinous rice. On renshen day of the seventh autumn month an edict ordered prisoners in all routes decided. On xinsi day monks and nuns were forbidden to visit the imperial halt privately or falsely declare fortune and misfortune to take property. On renyin day of the ninth month the court visited Huai Prefecture and paid respects at Taizong's and Muzong's temples. On the renchen new moon of the tenth winter month the court halted at the Central Capital. On wuwu day the people were forbidden to print texts privately. On jiazi day of the eleventh month regulations were fixed for officials' and commoners' clothing. On xinwei day slaughter on the six fast days was forbidden. On dingchou day an edict sought missing classics from the Qianwen Pavilion and ordered Confucian ministers to collate and emend. On gengchen day Zhangguo Army military commissioner Han Xieshi was made tiyin. An edict ordered Nanjing not to manufacture imperial-colored silks privately, smuggle iron, or drink wine out of season. Nanjing's Three Departments were ordered each spring and autumn to feast soldiers with official funds. On guisi day of the twelfth month Northern Court great king Xiao Wuguini was made Khitan mobile palace deployment director. That year Nanjing and the Western Capital had great harvests.

In the first year of Xianyong, on the xinyou new moon of the first spring month civil and military officials presented the honorific title Sagely, Cultured, Spiritually Martial, All-Achieving, Great Strategy, Broad Wisdom, Perceptive, Benevolent, Sagely, Filial, Heavenly Blessing Emperor. The era name was changed and a general amnesty was proclaimed. Prince of Liang Jun was invested crown prince; inner and outer officials were granted rank by degree. On jiazi day the court went to Yuer Marsh. On gengyin day an edict ordered that on New Year's Day, Double Fifth, and winter solstice, separate memorials congratulating the Eastern Palace were to be presented. On dinghai day of the third month Yang Ji, who administered Xingzhong Prefecture, was made to administer Privy Council affairs. On xinmao day of the fourth summer month, because Zhang Sifu, who administered Privy Council affairs, was ill, he was changed to administer Xingzhong Prefecture. On gengzi day the court summered at Tuogulie. On xinsi day of the fifth month Xia State sent envoys with tribute. On bingzi day of the seventh autumn month, because the Empress Dowager shot and captured a bear, officials were rewarded by degree. On bingshen day of the eighth month a guest star violated the Heavenly Temple. An edict ordered all routes to prepare against bandits and strictly forbid fire. On yihai day of the ninth month the court halted at Ousi Marsh. On dingchou day Left yilibi Zaogu was made Mengfu detail-stable. On the dinghai new moon of the tenth winter month the court visited Yiwulü Mountain. On jihai day the Empress Dowager shot and captured a tiger; a great feast was held for ministers and each was ordered to compose a poem. On renxu day of the eleventh month there was a star like a dipper, moving retrograde, with a faint sound. On jiawu day of the twelfth month Prince of Liao Renxian was made regent of Nanjing and transferred to Prince of Jin. On xinhai day Nanjing regent Xiao Weixin was made Left yilibi. On renzi day Mars traveled with the moon from dawn to noon.

In the second year, on dingsi day of the first spring month the court went to the Duck River. Song envoy congratulating the New Year Wang Yan died; he was sent back with full rites. On guimao day the court visited Shanyu Marsh. On jiawu day of the second month Wuding Army military commissioner Yao Jingxing was issued an edict on the way of governance and appointed Southern Court privy commissioner. On xinsi day of the third month Northeast Route detail-stable Yelü Hanfunu was made Northern Court great king. On renwu day a comet appeared in the west. In the fourth summer month there was continuous rain. On yihai day of the fifth month the court halted at Tuogulie. On xinsi day Household Commissioner Liu Shen was made associate privy commissioner. On bingxu day of the sixth month Uighur came with tribute. On jiachen day Zubu came with tribute. On the guichou new moon of the seventh autumn month Northwest Route pacification commissioner Xiao Muzhe was made Northern Court chancellor; Left yilibi Xiao Weixin Southern Court privy commissioner; associate Southern Court privy commissioner Yelü Bai tiyin. On bingchen day Southern Court privy commissioner Yao Jingxing retired. On gengshen day prisoners were reviewed. On xinyou day Jingxing resumed his former post. On dingmao day the court went to Ousi Marsh. Because of drought that year, envoys were dispatched to relieve poor people beyond the mountains. On the renzi new moon of the ninth month there was a solar eclipse. Associate Administrator of Affairs Han Fu was made associate privy commissioner. On renwu day of the twelfth winter month Yang Ji, who administered Privy Council affairs, was made Southern Court privy commissioner; associate privy commissioner Liu Shen was made Associate Administrator of Affairs. On wuzi day monk Shouzhi was promoted acting Minister of Works. On dingyou day Western Capital regent Heshu was made Southern Court great king. On xinchou day Xiao Muzhe was made military commissioner of Wuding Army. That year, at Yong'an Hall the jinshi Zhang Zhen and one hundred one others were passed.

In the third year, on xinhai day of the first spring month the court went to the Duck River. On jiazi day the court fished at Anliu Hall. On guihai day of the third month Song ruler Shu died; his son Xiang succeeded; envoys were dispatched to announce the mourning; Right Defender of the Guard grand guardian Xiao Tabuye and Hanlin academician Chen Juedi were immediately dispatched to offer condolences. In the intercalary month, on dinghai day, escort army camps caught fire; money, grain, and horses were bestowed by degree. On xinmao day the court halted at Chun Prefecture North Marsh. On yisi day Xiao Wuguini was made Northern Court chancellor. On renchen day of the fifth summer month the court halted at Nage Marsh. On renyin day horses were bestowed on escort officials and various craftsmen. On wushen day of the sixth month the relevant offices memorialized that Xincheng County commoner Yang Cong plotted rebellion and falsely appointed officials. The Emperor said: "Petty men are ignorant; this is child's play. Only the ringleaders were exiled; the rest were released. On gengxu day Song sent envoys presenting the late emperor's bequeathed goods. On xinhai day, because Song had acceded, Chen Xiang came to announce it; Yelü Tuguci, administrator of Huanglong Prefecture, and Secretariat drafter Ma Xuan were immediately dispatched to congratulate. On renxu day Southern Court chancellor Prince of Han Xiao Tanggu retired. On renshen day Guangde Army military commissioner Yelü Ruinu was made Southern Court chancellor; Revenue Commissioner Zhao Hui was made Associate Administrator of Affairs. On xinchou day of the seventh autumn month Mars was seen in daytime for thirty-five days in all. On wuxu day of the ninth month an edict ordered grain given to prisoners in all routes. On guimao day the court visited Nanjing. On renchen day of the eleventh winter month Xia State sent envoys presenting Uighur monks, a gold Buddha, and the 《Fanjue Sutra》. On dingwei day of the twelfth month Associate Administrator of Affairs Liu Shen was made associate privy commissioner; Northeast Route detail-stable Gao Ba Southern Court great king; Privy Council academician Zhang Xiaojie Associate Administrator of Affairs. On jiyou day Zhang Xiaojie was made associate administrator of Privy Council affairs. On dingsi day the rebirth ritual was performed; amnesty was granted for offenses from capital crime downward. That month Xia State king Li Liangzuo died. That year Nanjing had drought and locusts.

In the fourth year, on the jiaxu new moon of the first spring month there was a solar eclipse. On bingzi day the court went to Yuanyang Marsh. On xinsi day Yi Prefecture military commissioner was changed to pacification commissioner. On dinghai day the court hunted at Tanshan. On xinmao day envoys were dispatched to relieve hungry people in the Western Capital. On the jiachen new moon of the second month an edict ordered the marshal's office to recruit troops. On renzi day Xia State king Li Liangzuo's son Bingchang sent envoys to announce the mourning. On guichou day the 《Imperially Composed Avatamsaka Sutra Eulogy》 was promulgated. On dingmao day the court traveled north. On bingzi day of the third month envoys were dispatched to Xia State to offer condolences. On jiashen day hungry people in Ying Prefecture were relieved. On yiyou day an edict ordered Nanjing that except military march lands, the rest might plant rice. On gengyin day hungry people in Shuo Prefecture were relieved. On yiwei day Xia State Li Bingchang sent envoys presenting his father Liangzuo's bequeathed goods. On wuwu day of the fourth summer month Asalan Uighur sent envoys with tribute. On bingxu day of the fifth month the court halted at Tuogulie. On renzi day of the sixth month the Northwest Route rained grain over an area thirty li square. On bingyin day Northern Court linya Yelü Zhaosan was made Northern Court great king; Right yilibi Xiao Susu Central Capital regent. On renshen day of the seventh autumn month the Wugu Dilie inspector-general's office was established. On bingzi day the court hunted at Heiling. That month Nanjing had continuous rain and an earthquake. On jihai day of the ninth month the court halted at Ousi Marsh. On xinhai day of the tenth winter month a partial amnesty was granted for convict-labor offenses and below at Nanjing. Yongqing, Wuqing, Anci, Gu'an, Xincheng, Guiyi, and Rongcheng counties had flood; one year's rent was remitted. On wuchen day Li Bingchang was invested king of Xia State. On xinhai day of the twelfth month Xia State sent envoys with tribute.

In the fifth year, in the first spring month Zubu rebelled; Prince of Jin Renxian was made Northwest Route pacification commissioner to lead forbidden troops against them. On jihai day of the sixth summer month the court halted at Tuogulie. On bingwu day Tibet sent envoys with tribute. On renxu day Southern Court privy commissioner Xiao Weixin was made to administer Northern Court privy affairs. On the yichou new moon of the seventh autumn month there was a solar eclipse. On wuchen day Xia State sent envoys to thank the investiture. On guimao day an edict forbade the imperial clan to rely on power to encroach on common people. In the eighth month the court paid respects at Qing Mausoleum. On wuchen day of the ninth month Renxian dispatched men to memorialize victory over Zubu. On jihai day of the tenth winter month the court halted at Ousi Marsh. On dingmao day of the eleventh month an edict ordered Four Directions Bureau deputy commissioners to be filled only by Khitan. On dingchou day the Five States Poali tribe rebelled; Xiao Susu was ordered to suppress them. In the intercalary month, on wushen day, Xia State king Li Bingchang sent envoys begging seals and credentials. On jiwei day monk Zhifu was promoted acting Minister of Works. On jiazi day of the twelfth month, because the crown prince performed the rebirth ritual, convict-labor offenses in all routes were reduced one degree. On bingyin day Southern Court privy commissioner Yao Jingxing was made administrator of Xingzhong Prefecture. On jiyou day of the third month, for merit against the Five States, Huanglong Prefecture administrator Puyan, Huaihua Army military commissioner Gao Yuanji, and Yi Prefecture observation commissioner Gao Zheng were all promoted Thousand-Ox Guard upper generals; Five States military commissioner Xiao Taosuwan and Ningjiang Prefecture defense commissioner Darong were both made Jingjiang Army military commissioners. The court visited Heishui. On guiyou day of the fourth summer month the court went to Nage Marsh. On yihai day cloth and silk that was short and narrow and did not meet standard measure was forbidden. On jimao day of the sixth month Tibet came with tribute. On guimao day Southern Court great king Gao Ba retired. On the jiashen new moon of the seventh autumn month Northeast Route detail-stable Helizhi was made Southern Court great king; Southwest Route pacification commissioner Shidenunu was made great king of the Xi Six Tribes. On jichou day envoys were dispatched to investigate prisoners in the Five Capitals. On gengzi day the court went to Ousi Marsh. On xinsi day of the eighth month Buddha relics were placed in the Zhaoxian pagoda; hunting was stopped and slaughter forbidden. On jimao day of the tenth winter month the court went to Yiwulü Mountain. On renxu day Southern Court chancellor Yelü Ruinu was made Nanjing supreme commander.
