五年春正月壬申，如混同江。 癸酉，賜宰相耶律孝傑名仁傑。 乙亥，如山榆澱。 三月辛未，以宰相仁傑獲頭鵝，加侍中。 壬辰，以北院樞密使魏王耶律乙辛知南院大王事，加於越，知北院樞密使事耶律霂為北院樞密使，北院樞密副使耶律特裏底知北院樞密使事，左夷離畢耶律世遷同知北院樞密使事。 夏四月己未，如納葛濼。 五月丁亥，謁慶陵。 以契丹行宮都部署耶律燕哥為南府宰相，北面林牙耶律永寧為夷離畢，同知南院樞密使事蕭撻不也及殿前副點檢、駙馬都尉蕭酬斡並封蘭陵郡王。 六月辛亥，阻卜來貢。 丁巳，以北府宰相、遼西郡王蕭餘里也為西北路招討使。 己未，遣使隸囚。 是月，放進士劉瓘等百一十三人。 秋七月己卯，獵夾山。 八月庚申，命有司撰《太宗神功碑》，立於南京。 九月己卯，詔諸路毋禁僧徒開壇。 壬午，禁扈從擾民。 冬十月戊戌，夏國遣使來貢。 己亥，駐蹕獨盧金。 壬子，詔惟皇子仍一字王，餘並削降。 丁巳，振平州貧民。 己未，以趙王楊績為遼西郡王，魏王耶律乙辛降封混同郡王，吳王蕭韓家奴蘭陵郡王，致仕。 十一月丁丑，召沙門守道開壇於內殿。 癸未，復南京流民差役三年，被火之家免租稅一年。 十二月丙午，彗星犯尾。 乙卯，幸西京。 戊午，行再生禮，赦雜犯死罪以下。
In the fifth year, on renshen day of the first spring month the court went to the Huntong River. On guiyou day chancellor Yelü Xiaojie was granted the name Renjie. On yihai day the court went to Shanyu Marsh. On xinwei day of the third month, because Chancellor Renjie obtained a swan's head, he was promoted Palace Attendant. On renchen day Northern Court privy commissioner Prince of Wei Yelü Yixin was made to administer Southern Court great king affairs and promoted yuyue; Yelü Li, who administered Northern Court privy affairs, was made Northern Court privy commissioner; Northern Court associate privy commissioner Yelü Telidi was made administrator of Northern Court privy affairs; Left yilibi Yelü Shiqian was made associate Northern Court privy commissioner. On jiwei day of the fourth summer month the court went to Nage Marsh. On dinghai day of the fifth month the court paid respects at Qing Mausoleum. Khitan mobile palace deployment director Yelü Yange was made Southern Court chancellor; Northern linya Yelü Yongning was made yilibi; associate Southern Court privy commissioner Xiao Tabuye and Palace Front deputy commander and imperial son-in-law Xiao Chouwo were all enfeoffed Prince of Lanling Commandery. On xinhai day of the sixth month Zubu came with tribute. On dingsi day Northern Court chancellor and Prince of Liaoxi Xiao Yuliye was made Northwest Route pacification commissioner. On jiwei day envoys were dispatched to review prisoners. That month the jinshi Liu Jin and one hundred thirteen others were passed. On jimao day of the seventh autumn month the court hunted at Jia Mountain. On gengshen day of the eighth month the relevant offices were ordered to compose the 《Stele of Taizong's Divine Merit》 and erect it at Nanjing. On jimao day of the ninth month an edict ordered all routes not to forbid monks from opening altars. On renwu day escorts were forbidden to harass the people. On wuxu day of the tenth winter month Xia State sent envoys with tribute. On jihai day the court halted at Dulujin. On renzi day an edict ordered that only imperial sons might remain single-character princes; the rest were all demoted. On dingsi day poor people in Ping Prefecture were relieved. On jiwei day Prince of Zhao Yang Ji was made Prince of Liaoxi; Prince of Wei Yelü Yixin was demoted to Prince of Huntong Commandery; Prince of Wu Xiao Hanjianu Prince of Lanling Commandery, retired. On dingchou day of the eleventh month monk Shoudao was summoned to open an altar in the inner hall. On guimao day Nanjing refugees' corvée was remitted for three years; households that had suffered fire were exempt from rent and tax for one year. On bingwu day of the twelfth month a comet violated the Tail constellation. On yimao day the court visited the Western Capital. On wuwu day the rebirth ritual was performed; amnesty was granted for mixed offenses from capital crime downward.

In the sixth year, on guiyou day of the first spring month the court went to Yuanyang Marsh. On xinmao day Yelü Yixin was dismissed as administrator of Xingzhong Prefecture. On gengyin day of the third month imperial grandson Yanxi was enfeoffed Prince of Liang; Zhongshun Army military commissioner Yelü Pode was made Southern Court great king; Yelü Zhongxi Southern Court privy commissioner; Household Commissioner Chen Yi Associate Administrator of Affairs. On yimao day of the fourth summer month the court hunted at Tanshan. On renshen day of the fifth month one year's rent and tax for Ping Prefecture households resuming cultivation was remitted. On gengyin day, because of drought, rain was prayed for; attendants were ordered to douse one another with water, and soon rain fell. On wuxu day of the sixth month the court halted at Nage Marsh. On wushen day Revenue Commissioner Wang Ji was made Associate Administrator of Affairs. On gengxu day Jurchen sent envoys with tribute. On wuchen day of the seventh autumn month the court viewed the market. On guimao day six drum-and-banner zhala guards were established to protect imperial grandson Prince of Liang Yanxi. On jiashen day the court hunted at Shaling. On renyin day of the ninth month sacrifice was made at Muye Mountain. On jiyou day the court halted at Ousi Marsh. On the jiwei new moon of the tenth winter month the post of associate Guangde Army military commissioner was abolished; Fengxian Army military commissioner was ordered also to patrol Qian and Xian prefectures. On dingmao day Yelü Renjie was dismissed as military commissioner of Wuding Army. On gengwu day Associate Administrator of Affairs Liu Shen retired. On guiyou day Chen Yi was made Han mobile palace deployment director; Wang Ji associate administrator of Privy Council affairs. On xinsi day Uighur sent envoys with tribute. On the jichou new moon of the eleventh month there was a solar eclipse. On guimao day ministers were summoned to discuss government. On jiazi day of the twelfth month Yelü Telidi was made Mengfu detail-stable. On yichou day Xiao Tabuye was made Northern Court chancellor; Yelü Shiqian was made administrator of Northern Court privy affairs; Yelü Shensi associate Northern Court privy commissioner. On gengwu day Western Capital refugees' rent and tax were remitted for one year. On jiaxu day the people's tax levies were reduced. On dinghai day New Year's rites were performed in advance. In the seventh year, on wushen day of the first spring month chieftains of the Five States came with tribute. On jiayin day Jurchen presented fine horses. On jiazi day of the second month the court went to Yuer Marsh. On renzi day of the fifth summer month the court halted west of the ridge. On guichou day the relevant offices memorialized locusts in Yongqing, Wuqing, and Gu'an counties. On jiayin day Xiao Tabuye was also Palace Front commander; Xiao Chouwo was made Han mobile palace deployment director and associate administrator of Privy Council affairs. On jiazi day of the sixth month an edict ordered monthly sacrifice at Guande Hall; on Cold Food each year, on birthdays and death days while emperors lived, proceed to Jingzong's imperial portrait hall to offer sacrifice. On bingyin day Zubu Yugunian came with tribute. On dingmao day Hanlin academician Wang Yanfu was made Associate Administrator of Affairs; Northern Court palace commissioner Shi Du was enfeoffed Prince of Qishui Commandery. On wuzi day of the seventh autumn month the court went to autumn mountains. On bingshen day the court paid respects at Qing Mausoleum. On dingmao day of the eighth month deer were shot at Red Mountain; hunting-grounds commissioner Niege was promoted military commissioner of Jingjiang Army. On wuzi day of the ninth month the court halted at Huai Prefecture; the crown prince was ordered to pay respects at Huai Mausoleum. On xinmao day the court halted at Zu Prefecture; the Empress was ordered to pay respects at the ancestral mausoleum. On yisi day the court halted at Ousi Marsh. On wuchen day of the tenth winter month tiyin Wangjiu was made Southern Court great king; yilibi Xi Chaozhi military commissioner of Zhangguo Army. On yiyou day of the eleventh month an edict ordered yearly disbursement of official funds to relieve poor households of various palace divisions and border garrisons. On dinghai day the court visited imperial son-in-law Xiao Chouwo's residence; while drinking, Chancellor Liang Ying admonished: "The Son of Heaven must not drink in a subject's house." The Emperor immediately returned to the palace. On jihai day Goryeo sent envoys with tribute. On xinhai day the regulation on narrow silk and cloth measures was abolished. On dingmao day of the twelfth month Wuding Army military commissioner Yelü Renjie, for an offense, was stripped of rank and made a commoner. On xinwei day Xingzhong Prefecture administrator Yelü Yixin, for an offense, was imprisoned at Laizhou.

In the eighth year, on jiashen day of the first spring month the court went to the Huntong River. On dingyou day chiefs of Tieli and the Five States each presented local products. On wuwu day of the second month the court went to Shanyu Marsh. On xinyou day an edict ordered Northern and Southern Court officials: whoever used post stations must first memorialize. Only when presenting tribute of new products or memorializing criminal cases might they ride post relays; the rest were all forbidden. On jisi day Xia State captured Song general Zhang Tianyi and sent envoys to present him. On renshen day Yelü Pode was made Southern Court chancellor and also administrator of Northern Court privy affairs; Yange tiyin; Xiao Tabuye also administrator of Khitan mobile palace deployment affairs. On gengxu day of the third month Huanglong Prefecture Jurchen tribal chief Sunai led his tribesmen to submit; office was granted and seals were bestowed. That month an edict ordered use of the bushel and peck Taixing had fixed. On renxu day of the fourth summer month Yelü Shiqian was made supreme capital regent. On the xinhai new moon of the sixth month the court halted at Nage Marsh. On bingchen day Xia State sent envoys with tribute. On dingsi day Yelü Pode was made Northern Court privy commissioner; Yelü Chaoge Southern Court chancellor; Liu Yun Southern Court privy commissioner; Xiao Tabuye also administrator of Northern Court privy affairs; Wang Ji Han mobile palace deployment director; Xiao Chouwo imperial maternal uncle detail-stable. On yichou day Zubu chiefs came with tribute. On bingzi day Yelü Shensi was made administrator of Right yilibi affairs. On jiawu day of the seventh autumn month the court went to autumn mountains. Nanjing had continuous rain; the Sha River overflowed Yongqing, Guiyi, Xincheng, Anci, Wuqing, and Xianghe six counties and injured the crops. On gengyin day of the ninth month the court paid respects at Qing Mausoleum. On dingwei day the court halted at Ousi Marsh. Great wind and snow fell; many cattle and horses died; clothing and horses were bestowed on escort officials and below by degree. On yimao day of the tenth winter month an edict ordered Huage to tutor Prince of Liang Yanxi; Defender of the Golden Crow Commandant was promoted grand general. On bingzi day the court paid respects at Qian Mausoleum. On renwu day of the eleventh month Yishi great king Xiao Hege was made Southern Court palace commissioner. Acting administrator of Xi Six Tribes great king affairs Tugan was made great king of that tribe. On guichou day of the twelfth month Wugu Dilie supreme commander Yelü Mawu was made Northern Court great king. On gengshen day the Empress was demoted to Consort Hui and sent to dwell at Qian Mausoleum.

In the ninth year, on xinsi day of the first spring month the court went to spring waters. On the bingwu new moon of the fourth summer month heavy snow fell more than a zhang deep on level ground; sixty or seventy percent of horses died. In the fifth month the court went to Heiling. On jiwei day of the sixth month the court halted at Sanshui Plain. On jiazi day Yelü Asi was made Khitan mobile palace deployment director; Yelü Shensi Northern Court associate privy commissioner. On gengwu day an edict ordered all routes to register escaped households; offenses reaching death were pardoned. In the intercalary month, on dingchou day, Han mobile palace deputy deployment director Kehannu was made Southern Court great king. On wuyin day the commoner Jun was posthumously honored as Crown Prince Zhaohuai. On dinghai day Zubu came with tribute. On jichou day Xingzhong Prefecture administrator Xing Xinian was made Han mobile palace deployment director; Han mobile palace deployment director Wang Ji Southern Court associate privy commissioner. On yisi day of the seventh autumn month the court hunted at Mawei Mountain. On dingsi day the court paid respects at Qing Mausoleum. On guihai day outer officials were forbidden to lend money at interest within their jurisdictions and envoys were forbidden to lodge in commoners' houses. In the eighth month Goryeo king Hui died. On the guimao new moon of the ninth month there was a solar eclipse. On jiyou day a bear was shot at Baishi Mountain; hunting-grounds commissioner Niege was promoted Left Defender of the Golden Crow Commandant grand general. On jisi day Goryeo king Hui's son Duke of Three Han Xun was ordered to administer state affairs provisionally. On xinwei day chieftains of the Five States came with tribute. On renshen day Northern and Southern Privy Council officials were summoned to discuss government. On dingchou day of the tenth winter month the court paid respects at Guande Hall. On jimao day Southern Court privy commissioner Liu Yun died. On renchen day Prince of Huntong Commandery Yelü Yixin plotted to flee into Song and was executed. On bingwu day of the eleventh month Prince of Liang Yanxi was advanced to Prince of Yan and a general amnesty was proclaimed. Southern Court palace commissioner Xiao Hege was made Southern Court chancellor; Three Departments commissioner Wang Jing Associate Administrator of Affairs and administrator of privy affairs. On jiayin day an edict ordered monk Shanzhi to collate Buddhist scriptures presented by Goryeo and promulgate them. On jiwei day promotion grades were fixed for various clerks and translators. On dinghai day of the twelfth month Xing Xinian was made to administer Southern Court privy affairs. On xinmao day Wang Yanfu was made Han mobile palace deployment director. Goryeo Duke of Three Han Wang Xun died. That year before the throne the jinshi Li Junyu and fifty-one others were passed.

In the tenth year, on the xinchou new moon of the first spring month the court went to spring waters. On bingwu day the pagoda of Nanjing's Fengfu Temple was rebuilt. On wuchen day the court went to Shanyu Marsh. On the gengwu new moon of the second month Menggu State sent envoys with a friendly mission. On wushen day of the third month distant Menggu State sent envoys with a friendly mission. On dingsi day drafting edict commissioner Wang Shiru and seal-and-tally langjun Yelü Gu were ordered to tutor Prince of Yan Yanxi. On dingchou day of the fourth summer month Jurchen presented fine horses. On renxu day of the fifth month the court halted at Sanshui Plain. On yichou day Zubu came with tribute. On bingyin day imperial maternal uncle detail-stable rank was demoted to below detail-stable. On renchen day of the sixth month destroying copper cash to make vessels was forbidden. On jiachen day of the seventh autumn month the court went to Heiling. On guihai day of the ninth month the court halted at Ousi Marsh. On yiwei day of the twelfth winter month Qing Prefecture's Da'an Army was changed to Xingping. That month the coming year was changed to Da'an and amnesty was granted for mixed offenses from capital crime downward.

On xinwei day of the second month the court went to Shanyu Marsh. On yiyou day of the fourth summer month Song ruler Xiang died; his son Xu succeeded; envoys came to announce the mourning. On xinmao day the court traveled west. On wuchen day of the sixth month the court halted at Tuogulie. On renshen day Wang Ji was made Southern Court chancellor; Xiao Tabuye also administrator of Southern Court privy affairs. On dingchou day envoys were dispatched to offer condolences in Song. On wuyin day Song sent Wang Zhen, Zhen You, and others presenting the late emperor's bequeathed goods. On guichou day envoys were dispatched to promote supreme commander Xiao Eduwo to Grand Guardian of the Heir Apparent, deputy general Laogu Defender of the Golden Crow Commandant grand general, Xiao Yage military commissioner of Jingjiang Army, Yelü Yannu Right Defender of the Gate Commandant grand general, and still bestow rewards on the troops. On the dingsi new moon of the fifth month, because herds had multiplied to as many as a million, herd officials were rewarded and advanced in rank by degree. On yihai day the court halted at Nage Marsh. On wuyin day Chancellor Liang Ying was dismissed as administrator of Xingzhong Prefecture. On jiachen day associate regent of Nanjing Yelü Naye was made administrator of Right yilibi affairs. On yisi day Zubu chiefs Yugunian and Aide came to court; an edict ordered Prince of Yan Yanxi to bond with them as friends. On wushen day Khitan mobile palace deployment director Yelü Asi was also made administrator of Northern Court great king affairs. On renzi day Gaodun and below, county magistrates, and record clerks' brothers and sons were all permitted to enter service by seniority. On dingsi day of the seventh autumn month Consort Hui's mother Lady Yan of Yan State Xiaogu, because sorcery against Prince of Liang was exposed, was executed; her son Prince of Lanling Commandery Xiao Chouwo was struck from the register and placed in a border commandery, still attached to Xing Sheng Palace. On wuwu day the court hunted at Shaling. On jiazi day money was bestowed on poor people of Xing Sheng and Jiqing palaces. On yiyou day grain was issued to relieve poor people in Liao Prefecture. On wuzi day of the eighth month hunting was stopped because of snow. On gengwu day of the ninth month the court returned to the Supreme Capital. On renshen day grain was issued to relieve poor people at the Supreme and Central capitals. On bingzi day the court paid respects at the Two Principles and Five Phoenix halls. On jimao day armor and weapons used by Taizu and Taizong were displayed to Prince of Yan Yanxi, instructing him on the hardship of founding and campaigning. On xinsi day the Southern Court chancellor was summoned to discuss state affairs. On the yiyou new moon of the tenth winter month associate privy commissioner Dou Jingyong was made administrator of Privy Council affairs. On bingxu day chieftains of the Five States came with tribute. On dinghai day, because Xia State king Li Bingchang died, envoys were dispatched to inform his son Qianshun to administer state affairs. On jihai day Xia State king Li Qianshun sent envoys presenting his father's bequeathed goods.
