In the top row of the precomputed table for Saturn's ecliptic latitude north and south of the ecliptic, the argument is the degree fixed at the epicycle center, beginning at fifty degrees; each successive entry adds three degrees. Each step adds three degrees. In the first vertical column, the argument is the planet's own mean longitude, and each successive entry adds ten degrees. To calculate: take the two nearest argument values, find the degrees and minutes where the row and column intersect, then apply proportional interpolation to each in turn to obtain the refined rate.
