堂前年十八，歸同郡陳安節，歲餘夫卒，僅有一子。 Tangqian was eighteen when she married Chen Anjie of the same prefecture; after little more than a year her husband died, leaving only one son.

既葬其夫，事親治家有法，舅姑安之。 After burying her husband, she managed the household by proper methods and put her parents-in-law at ease.
