父成德，熱河都統，以先世格得理爾率屬歸附，世襲一等侯爵。 His father Chengde served as military governor of Rehe. An earlier ancestor, Gedeli'er, had led his followers in submission to the dynasty, and the family thereafter held a hereditary first-class marquisate.
