聖父舊封齊國公，思晦言於朝曰：「宣聖封王，而父爵猶公，願加褒崇。」 Confucius's father had been enfeoffed as Duke of Qi. Sihui petitioned the court, "The Exalted Sage was made a king, yet his father's title remains only duke. I ask that greater honor be granted."

乃詔加封聖父啟聖王，聖母王夫人。 An edict then enfeoffed the Sage's father as King Qisheng and his mother as royal consort.
