九月，命大學士傅恆代為經略，別遣侍衛富成逮訥親，責置對，並令富成錄訥親舉止言語以聞。 In the ninth month Grand Secretary Fu Heng was made commander-in-chief in his place; guard Fu Cheng was sent separately to arrest Neqin, question him, and report his words and conduct.

富成疏訥親語'金川事大難，不可輕舉，此言不敢入奏'。 Fu Cheng reported Neqin's words: 'The Jinchuan affair is very hard and cannot be lightly undertaken—I dare not put this in a memorial.'

复偕都統班第、署重慶鎮總兵段起賢、侍衛富成分道夜襲色爾力，焚木卡三，殺賊五十餘。 He again joined Banner Commander Ban Di, Acting Chongqing commander Duan Qixian, and Guardsman Fucheng in a night assault on Se'erli from several directions, burning three wooden palisades and killing more than fifty rebels.
