〈（《五代史闕文》：漢高祖自太原起軍建號，至洛陽，會郭從義先入京師，受密旨殺王淑妃與許王從益。 (Lost Writings of the History of the Five Dynasties records that Gaozu of Han raised his army at Taiyuan and established his reign. Reaching Luoyang, he found Guo Congyi already in the capital with a secret order to kill Consort Wang Shufei and Prince Xu Congyi.

丁巳，永興都部署郭從義奏：「新除華州留後趙思綰，自今月三日授華州留後，準詔赴任，三移行期，仍要鎧甲以給牙兵，及與之，竟不遵路。 On dingsi, the Yongxing commander-in-chief Guo Congyi memorialized: "The newly appointed acting military governor of Hua, Zhao Sizhan, was appointed on the third of this month and should by edict proceed to his post. Three times the departure date was moved, yet he still demanded armor to supply his personal guard. When it was given him, in the end he did not take the road.

戊辰，永興軍節度使兼兵馬都部署郭從義加同平章事，徙華州節度使。 On wuchen, the Yongxing military governor and concurrent commander of army and horse Guo Congyi was given the additional title of Grand Councilor and transferred to military governor of Hua.

郭從義奏，處斬前巡檢使喬守溫，供奉官王益、時知化、任繼勛等。 Guo Congyi memorialized that the former inspection commissioner Qiao Shouwen and the palace service officials Wang Yi, Shi Zhihua, Ren Jixun, and others had been executed.

及郭從義率兵攻討，令守溫部署役夫。 When Guo Congyi led troops to attack and suppress them, he ordered Shouwen to deploy corvée laborers.

守溫有愛姬陷在賊城，為思綰所錄，及收城，從義盡得思綰之婢仆，守溫求其愛姬，從義雖與之，意有所慊，遂發前罪，密啟於郭威，請除之，與王益等並誅焉。 Shouwen had a beloved concubine trapped in the rebel city who had been taken by Sizhan. When the city was recovered, Congyi obtained all of Sizhan's maids and servants. Shouwen asked for his beloved concubine. Though Congyi gave her to him, he was not satisfied and exposed Shouwen's former crime, secretly reporting to Guo Wei and requesting his removal. Shouwen and Wang Yi and the others were all put to death.

及趙思綰作亂於永興，漢隱帝命郭從義討之，以峻為兵馬都監。 When Zhao Siwan rose in rebellion at Yongxing, Emperor Yindi of Later Han ordered Guo Congyi to crush him and appointed Jun director of armies and cavalry.

高祖遣郭從義、王峻討之，經年莫能下，而王景崇亦叛，與思綰俱送款於李守貞，守貞以思綰為晉昌軍節度使。 Gaozu sent Guo Congyi and Wang Jun against him, but a full year passed without the city falling. Wang Jingchong rebelled as well; he and Siwan both pledged themselves to Li Shouzhen, who appointed Siwan military governor of Jinchang.

思綰然之，乃遣教練使劉珪詣從義乞降，而遣其將劉筠奉表朝廷。 Siwan assented. He sent drill instructor Liu Gui to Congyi to sue for peace and his general Liu Yun to lay a petition before the throne.

蜀陰遣人招思綰，思綰將奔蜀，而從義亦疑之，乃遣人白郭威，威命從義圖之。 Shu secretly wooed him, and Siwan was on the verge of fleeing west, but Congyi grew suspicious and reported to Guo Wei, who told him to lay a trap.

從義因入城召思綰，趣之上道，至則擒之。 Congyi entered the city, summoned Siwan, and pressed him to set out; as soon as he came, Congyi seized him.

從義許之，父子俱斬於市。 Congyi agreed. Father and son were beheaded in the public square.
