郭貫，字安道，保定人。 Guo Guan, styled Andao, was a native of Baoding.

至大二年，仁宗至五台山，貫進見，仁宗因問：「廉訪使滅里吉歹何以有善政？」 In the second year of Zhida (1309) Renzong visited Mount Wutai; Guo Guan was presented to him, and Renzong asked: "How did the integrity commissioner Mielijitai win a reputation for good government?"

左右對曰：「皆副使郭貫之教也。」 His attendants replied: "It was all the teaching of Vice Commissioner Guo Guan."

因賜貫瑪瑙數珠、金織文幣，入為吏部考功郎，遂拜治書侍御史。 Renzong then gave Guo agate prayer beads and gold-woven silks, recalled him to the capital as director of merit evaluation in the Ministry of Personnel, and soon appointed him supervising censor.

貫言：「皇太子受金寶已三年，宜行冊禮； Guan said: "The crown prince has held the golden seal for three years; it is time to perform the investiture rites;

貫博學，精於篆籀，當世冊寶碑額，多出其手云。 Guan was broadly learned and a master of seal and archaic script; most of the age's imperial edicts, regalia inscriptions, and stele headings were said to be his work.
