逾年，卒，贈太子太師，賜子慧惇進士，慧翼員外郎，諡文靖，祀福建名宦及鄉賢祠。 He died the following year. The court posthumously made him Grand Preceptor of the Heir Apparent, granted his son Huidun jinshi status and Huiyi the rank of bureau director, gave him the posthumous title Wenjing, and enshrined him in Fujian's halls of eminent officials and local worthies.
