三十三年，諭大學士舉長於文章學問超卓者，王熙、張玉書等薦乾學與王鴻緒、髙士奇，命來京修書。 In year 33 the emperor told the Grand Secretaries to nominate men of exceptional literary and scholarly talent; Wang Xi, Zhang Yushu, and others recommended Qianxue along with Wang Hongxu and Gao Shiqi, and the court ordered them to Beijing to work on the histories.
